About
The Full Story
I began woodworking as a retirement hobby, something to occupy my time and keep my hands busy. The first year I made wooden stove tops as Christmas presents for my family members. Soon extended family and close friends began requesting items and I began crafting home decor, furniture, and functional kitchen boards using locally sourced walnut, maple, cherry, syamore, red elms, and even some exotic repurposed woods such as purple heart and masarunduba for accents.
The orders began to snowball once word got around. The selling point being that each piece of woodwork is one-of-a-kind. You may order from one of the products listen on my products page but there will always be some differences. All wood looks and reads differently, and I use the beauty of the wood to define lines and curves if it's a live edge piece. This means the piece you order will be absolutely unique to your home.
My wife, Sandy, and I sell in local artisan markets and festivals in addition to custom orders. Currently we have products in four different stores in Upstate South Carolina and North Carolina. Now it's time to move our business online to share my craft with even more people.
